If you have problems running Mortar Mayhem under newer Operating Systems, such as WinXP - here is a guide:
1) Install DosBox (http://dosbox.sf.net) 2) Run DosBox 3) write mount c c:\games (if the mortar-directory is located in c:\games) 4) write c: and press enter. 5) write cd mortar10 (if thats the name of the mortar directory) 6) write mortar.exe
if you think it runs a bit slow, do the following:
1) Exit DosBox 2) open the file dosbox.conf (located in the DosBox directory) in notepad and find the following line: "cycles=3000" (or some other number) 3) increase this to 50000 or something like that - depends on your computer's speed. 4) Save and exit notepad. 5) Run DosBox and Mortar Mayhem again as above. 6) go to Mortar Mayhem Options and turn off "Fading Screens".
